Thanks for the feedback on the poll! Thinking of themes for a tri-fandom art contest was very difficult; The Protomen has such a different tone from Ruby-Spears and Captain N (though if you want to draw campy Protomen fanart, be my guest). Since this is the very first Toon-MegaMan contest, I decided to honor the root of these series: the good ol' USA. The theme of this contest is American Landmarks. This is not a contest to produce patriotic entries (unless you want it to be). You can draw a straight forward piece with the landmark in the background, or you can show Wily's robots destroying it, or maybe Dr. Light is playing poker with the Statue of Liberty. It can dramatic, it can be humorous, it can be weird. The sky's the limit!
Prize
The winner of will receive a one month DA subscription (or the equivalent in points). I am not judging solely on artistic skill. The winner will be determined by whoever submits the most creative interpretation of theme. So, even if you're not confident in your artistic ability or only have an hour to spare, you still have a shot at winning.
Official Rules
Deadline is June 8th, 2011 12:00 am EST (Midnight)
The entry must be obviously recognizable as a fan deviation for Ruby-Spears Mega Man, The Protomen, or Captain N (use official characters/objects/themes that belong to that series' cannon). Any art style is welcome.
No nudity or fetish art. Use of copyrighted material such as screen caps, sprites, and official art is also prohibited.
You can submit as many entries as you like, but no joint entries (I only have one prize!)
Submit entries to the Contest Entries Folder
The entry must include a historical or natural American Landmark. Here are some examples:
Statue of Liberty
Mt. Rushmore
Empire State Building
Liberty Bell
Golden Gate Bridge
Alcatraz Island
St. Louis Arch
White House
Space Needle
Chicago Sears Tower
Hoover Dam
Grand Canyon
Hollywood Sign
Lincoln Memorial (dun dun dun)
Devils Tower
More Historic Landmarks / More Natural Landmarks
I hope this is a fun contest to kick off summer with. I'm not expecting much, but if participation is good I'll hold more!

Toon-MegaMan Contest #2: Cartoon Mega Man Season 3
Contest Closed: Judging to commence shortly.
Sixteen years ago the first episode of the Ruby-Spears Mega Man animated series premiered, making it the first Saturday morning cartoon to star the blue bomber in his own series (for better of for worse). As fans know, the cartoon only lasted two seasons. Your challenge: Create a premise for an ‘unaired episode’ of Ruby-Spears Mega Man, season 3.
Your entry should include:
:bulletblue: Title of episode
:bulletblue: Description of episode
:bulletblue: A drawing, comic, or prose piece showing a scene from your episode. This shou

Toon-MegaMan American Landmark Contest Results
The first Toon-MegaMan contest is over, and the results are in:
We had two excellent entries:
Mount Awesome by Gingler (https://www.deviantart.com/gingler)
BATTERY GRAVE by InnoTenshi (https://www.deviantart.com/innotenshi)
Since there were only two entries, and they were both beyond what I expected, both shall receive a prize (1 month DA subscription). Thanks again for entering you two!
For a group of 60, I consider this a pretty successful contest, and will definitely considering holding more (with broader, less research-intensive themes). Suggestions are welcome!
Edit: Just for clarification, Attack of the Lincoln Memorial was drawn by me as a promotional piece, not as a real entry for the contes

Hm, I'll give it a shot. I'm Canadian so I'm not familiar with American landmarks, but I'm sure I'll find something.
